Re: Rudy Sarzo Interview
Rudy's cool. He once replied to a Facebook note I sent him thanking him for a great read with 'Off The Rails'. It made my week to hear back from him thanking me for the kind words. He's cool in person, too. I met him at two in-store appearances. One, with Quiet Riot for 'Metal Health', and the other...

Re: Speak of the devil DVD released tody
To think it may very well be the only time he sung the lyrics to "Over The Mountain" correctly throughout the entire 'Diary' tour! I bought the new edition of 'Speak Of The Devil' last week. A big improvement over the Brazilian bootleg I've had on dvd for years (choppy editing, where the b...
Re: Sharon
Sharon may be ruthless in business on occasion, but she does deserve credit for helping Ozzy pick himself back up and get back to music. She was one of the earliest people involved to inspire Ozzy to have a go at going solo, gaining the confidence for it. She deserves her fair share of credit. A mat...

Re: Mike Ragogna Interview: A Conversation With Rudy Sarzo
Cool. Thanks for putting that up. That's wild that plans to film the Irvine Meadows show were already in the bag by the time Randy passed away. Peace.

Re: Did the Osbournes held back the live footage?
Maybe he meant "Would have..." Ozzy was still under Don Arden's thumb when Randy was alive, and maybe there wasn't enough thought (and/or money) to be able to record more live video footage of the band in action. I somehow feel that there wasn't that much footage to draw from. It was what ...

Re: Jimi and randy
I think Jimi was too much of a "free spirit" for Randy to grasp ;) Nah. Jimi, like Randy, had developed their own sounds and styles. Seeing how both were innovators on guitar, my guess is that they'd hit it off and bond over their shared originality, only to come up with something mindblo...

Re: new double live album ozzy / randy album to be released
I believe it is a double-vinyl version of 'Ozzy Live', which was the bonus disc on last year's 'Diary Of A Madman' re-release.. The "Believer" live single has "Goodbye To Romance (2010 guitar and vocal mix) on the b-side.

Re: 30th Anniversary Tribute
Wow... Thirty years on already... I too remember that day well. I was 12 years old and home from school sick that day. I heard about the plane crash over my father's AM radio wafting into the living room where I was. I was just beginning to get into Ozzy and Randy then, too. Thanks for the immortal ...
Re: So Sad...
Randy's influence and inspiration only grows in stature. That's very true: a lot of younger kids are getting into Randy from the Ozzy records.. True talent always stands the test of time, and Randy's legacy will never fade. If anything, he's more omnipresent than he's ever been. Cheers

Re: Happy 55th Birthday Randy!
I was listening to Montreal 7/28/81 again last night in full, and, man... Randy channels electricity with his ability of his playing to give you goosebumps and chills of extra-intelligent cool... Thanks for your genius, Randy. Happy Birthday!

Re: Honda Pilot Commercial
I dig that commercial. What's even cooler is that they didn't use the original studio version (or live version) of the song, and just reenacted it acapella as they did. It's a fun, clever way of using the song in a commercial. It's cool.

Re: Is Bob Daisley's book for real?
I almost don't care whether or not Daisley ever puts out his book. Not interested in the chapters concerning his time with Randy and Ozzy? and the photos maybe? I am curious about it, of course. It just gets old hearing that it is coming out "soon", "read it in my forthcoming book&qu...

Yeah. You can definitely hear much more details about Randy's guitar tracks on the new guitar and vocal mix. It's cool for what it is, though.

Re: Live EP poster framed.
Nice! That looks awesome, framed like that. That E.P. brings back a lot of memories. I have two copies of it: one with regular vinyl featuring the picture above on the cover, as well as the picture disc I've had since late '82. Indeed: that promo poster looks great in a frame.
