Should I Do It
The drummer in my band doesn't really click with me and my bass player. He's a good drummer, but he's not what we're looking for. We've got our first gig on Thursday. I play guitar, but I also play drums and bass. We're recording some stuff on the Friday before Christmas, and I don't know if I shoul...

Jay Turser Guitars
I bought a Jay Turser Les Paul copy at Route 60 Music (Barboursville, WV) Iread up on them. They have no original guitars. They make Strats, Teles, SG's, Les Paul's, and even have their own Paul McCartney Hofner violin bass. I spent $230 on mine (Discount) and so far it's been a good guitar. Don't g...

Re: UGLY guitars
The Epiphone LP Junior's aren't very good looking. Mostly due to pickguard though. Recieved one as a gift and took the pickguard off.

Anyone learning any songs
I've been learning Day Tripper Purple Haze Keep on Rockin (In The Free World) In My Life Twist & Shout All of these are easy. Purple Haze is kinda hard though. I've only been playing since August 2011 (and bass since May 2011) It's pretty fun after you get past the basics (chords and scales) as ...

Re: What was #1 on the day you were born
Here's mine (Sep 7) 1959, Craig Douglas was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with his version of the Sam Cooke hit 'Only Sixteen'. Terence Perkins was employed as a milkman before becoming a professional singer and was known as the 'Singing Milkman'. 1963, The Beatles recorded an appearance on the BB...

Didn't see one so figured I'd start one. Talk about your video games, and gaming accesories.

Re: Do left-handed versions of the cool guitars exist?
You could get a right handed version and re-string it and play it upside down like Jimi Hendrix. I do that with left handed guitars (I'm right handed) and I think they honestly look better. Especially with a Strat or Les Paul.

Anyone Here A Multi-Instrumentalist???
Just wondering. Mostly hear about guitar. I play guitar, bass, drums, and keys. I learned all of them so I could use multi-tracking software and write my own songs with me on all instruments, kinda like on Paul McCartney's Ram album.

Cool Alternate Tunings
I'm pretty sure that a lot of people are tired of standard. I have a couple of other tunings that may give you a totally different, but good sound Eb Tuning (Tuning on Diary of a Madman) D# G# C# F# A# D# D Standard (Used by Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix) D G C F A D Drop D (Jimmy Page uses it on Mob...

My choice isn't up there, but it is First Act. It's like a neck, and strings hot glued to a piece of plywood.

I Have A Few Rhoads' Questions...
1. Did Randy play bass 2. If he did what basses did he own 3. Did Randy have a Black Les Paul 4. Did Randy have any kind of Fender Stratocaster, or Telecaster 5. In Rudy's book, it mentions that Randy's things taken off of the bus on 3-19-1982 were a microcassette recorder, and an acoustic guitar. H...

How to get the Rhoads sound
How can I get the tone that randy had, on a Fender Stratocaster Mexican Made? I have a cool Digitech effects compressor pedal, and a Fender Blues Jr amp. Any alternate tunings that I need to do (Except for the Eb tuning on Diary) any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Randy's favorite guitarists....
I hear some Ritchie Blackmore influences. Would've been cool to see Radny play Smoke on The Water. He would've put some cool licks, and classical elements into that one.
