Cliff Burton is my #1 bass influence. He had a unique style + a cool personality. Metallica pretty much died with Cliff Burton.

It's a shame such a bad show was released as the only official live video.
They did great shows even if not so frequently in 1978.

On my copy of Providence Ozzy says
"we're gonna do a, a ballad i wrote many years ago" before Paranoid.
"Balls" are mentioned in both versions of "Iron Man" but the word "squeeze" is only used in Providence.

Re: Anyone here like the Torme shows?

I agree Bernie did a good job concidering the situation.
I got 4 of the 8 (?) gigs he did with Ozzy and i believe all
the others were recorded too.

Talk of the Devil

Anyone know why some copies of the Ritz vinyl 2-LP carries this title?
I know it's not as common but i don't know the story behind that.
My copy is made in England and i've seen japanese ones too.
Was it drawn back and replaced and how rare is it really?

The date for the Southampton show is October 2nd 1980.
"You Said It All" was recorded during the soundcheck.
Besides the 4 released songs the full show should have 7
more tracks + Randy's & Lee's solos.
Hopefully it will leak out someday so we can hear it.

I'm sure there's more stuff out there, hopefully it will reach our eyes some day. There has to be some more Diary tour rehearsals footage. Also, what about Chicago '81 super-8 footage? Seems someone filmed almost every show that took place in Chicago during the early 80's. I doubt the Osbournes have...

Re: Bob Daisley discusses Randy Rhoads and early days.....

Bob is cool i met him once and he was really nice.
The situation with the so called "remastered" versions of "Blizzard" and "Diary" is really sad. I blame Sharon.
