VH1 On Tap - Nik Carter (Ozzy on Randy)
Missed this episode but apparently Ozzy had something new to say about Randy. I wasn't able to stream the link for some reason. This was from Nik Carter's VH1 On Tap Rock show on this past Thursday the 19th (anniversary of RR death) http://www.vh1classicontap.com/httpwww-vh1classicontap-comwp-conten...

Re: Long Time / Little Dolls - similarities
I noticed Don't Look Back by Boston resembles the Little Dolls bass line and also Randy's outro solo in Little Dolls.
There is so much Sholz is his playing. Very cool.

Is Randy using a wireless system in this pic? I don't see the cable touching the ground anywhere.

Re: Anniversary 2012?
HUGE fan of Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone
Randy died on March 19th, 1982
Andrew died on March 19th, 1990
Paul Kassoff (guitarist for Free) died on March 19th, 1976
Kind of weird...March 19th seems to be a dangerous day for rock stars.

Re: Tour Milage on the road
Cool!
Come to think of it, does anyone know how many semi trucks were used on the first U.S. tour? I'm sure the DOAMM tour had wayyyyy more.

Thanks so much for sharing Bladeghost.
Any specific memories of Randy from the show? Was the venue packed? Was it mostly Sabbath fans, or high school kids? How was the mix (sound)? Did Randy do anything really cool or interesting?

Re: Redding Civic Auditorium - July 7th, 1981
The only thing I can probably assume is that they were probably dealing with heat in the 110-120 degree range. In the summer, Redding is one of the hottest cities in California. It traps the heat where the San Joaquin valley ends at the base of Mt. Shasta. I'm just picturing Ozzy being like "f ...

I can respect that!
Randy was pretty immersed in music. That's a beautiful thing.

I live somewhat close to where this concert took place. Does anyone have a review of the show, or have anything specific to share about this performance?

Re: Blizzard/Diary Song Chronology
Wow. Great question. I'd love to know the same thing. Yeah, what was the order of tunes written after Blizzard, and how did they jam/demo them.
The fact that SATO is in standard tuning makes me think it was definitely part of the Blizzard sessions.

A favorite sports team? For some reason I see him as an Anaheim Angels fan.
