Re: Eerie Sounds on Blizzard Of Ozz

BOO has more of a classic sound. My obvious pick is BOO. There is a lot of heart and soul on that one.

Re: DOTG 30 years?

Was Loverboy a big band back then?!?!?

Pat Travers?!?!?

It seems like Ozzy should have definitely played AFTER these jokers!

I'll give some insight as a Mormon:

Well heck, maybe I'll just leave it with this thought instead...

Every single one of you is loved by the Heavenly Father more than you could ever imagine.

Re: Eerie Sounds on Blizzard Of Ozz

Yeah, you can tell DOAMM was a bit hurried. It's a really dark and quirky album. Like I said earlier, BOO has all the elements of some late 70's rock, but DOAMM was definitely fresh sounding and really stands out all by itself. I'll go as far as to say DOAMM is Ozzy's most unique album. By far.

Re: DOTG 30 years?

I live kind of near the Oakland Colisuem. Kinda cool to think that right now (6:15pm West Coast time) is when Randy was probably on stage.

I think they were the opening band that day...

Re: ZAKK WYLDE: The Best Thing For RANDY RHOADS Was Hookin'

DOAMM has more of a odd feel to it whereas BOO kinda captures the essence of late 70's rock at times (specifically Steal Away and No Bone Movies).

The only BOO songs that resemble anything on DOAMM are Revelation Mother Earth and Mr. Crowley.

Re: Randy's take on Lee Kerslake

Dude, I totally agree! Lee and Bob were a perfectly matched rhythm section.

And yes, those albums wouldn't have been nearly as amazing as they are had another rhythm section played.

Re: Eerie Sounds on Blizzard Of Ozz

There is only one other thing that is perfectly matched to BOO and DOAMM...

The movie...

Time Bandits.

That movie is perfectly on par with both of those albums in a feeling of eerieness!

Re: Randy's take on Lee Kerslake

I personally REALLY like the Ozzy ballads...Road to Nowhere, Time After Time, See You on the Other Side,...

But by far....

The best ballad....

Ozzy ever sang.....

WAS...

Close My Eyes Forever. I FRICKIN LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!
