Re: The Movie/Favorite Movies Thread

That's funny, I finally saw the first "Scream" for the first time just a couple night ago. I really enjoyed it. It's not just a senseless slasher, and it had a real classic feel to it. Not surprising since it's a Wes Craven film, which I didn't even realize until the end credits. I actuall...

Re: Just wanted to share this

Good story! Hope you have a great time at the show!!

Do you think it's possible she feels guilty enough to spring for the 'Meet & Greet' package too, that's going for $1,000?

Re: Over The Mountain top notch back track in Guitar Techniq

Thanks for the info Matt! My wife is getting me a subscription for Christmas, but it'll probably start a couple issue from now so I better start looking for it at Chapters! She was going to get it for my birthday in August, but they said it would take 3 months to start getting it?! :? But when I rec...

Re: Sandoval Polka Dot V Copies

Just a heads up.... I was talking on the phone with the guy who is handling the eBay auction -- he's acting as a middle man for the luthier that's making them. He said this guy is planning on making Concorde copies too! They won't be reliced, but at least they won't cost 5 figures either. Mine's in ...

Bizarre

Ok, this is odd. And this is actually legal tender permitted by the Treasury Department: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Randy-Rhoads-2-Dollar-Bill-Mint-1-Ozzy-Quiet-Riot-/380283099645?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588aa399fd So you can actually get some real cash printed up with your own face on it if you ...

Re: HOW MANY FANS STILL CARE ANYMORE??

Extremely frustrating yes, but it certainly has not made me care any less. I will say one thing about Randy's family. I think it's great how they have been so in touch with the fans over the years. Countless interviews, tours of the school, making their way to the memorial every years and chatting w...

Re: NEW EPIPHONE LES PAUL RANDY TRIBUTE PROJECT!

No worries, I was only joking about the relicing. I know I wouldn't have the heart to put a scratch on that beauty! Tinting is done by coloring clear lacquer with a dye, such as alcohol-soluble aniline dye. A small amount of the 'vintage amber' of these stains might do the trick: http://www.s...

Re: NEW EPIPHONE LES PAUL RANDY TRIBUTE PROJECT!

Looks great!! I wonder if you could just spray some tint coats over top, along with a few protective clear coats, rather than stripping down and refinishing? You'd still have to wet sand and polish after though. Could always put a cigarette burn in between the knobs, and well as take a scraper to th...

You could try temelo stabilization:

I haven't tried any of the possible options out there, so I can't comment on it at all.

Axeman1956 wrote:What kind of Tremelos do they use on Rhoads Jacksons?
Depends on the model -- it's an original Floyd Rose tremelo on the RR1, but the Japanese model I have it's a Jackson made tremelo licensed under Floyd Rose.

Re: Sandoval Polka Dot V Copies

  Oddly enough, I didn't even have to crack the wine open, let alone put on any Barry White, before getting the green light from the boss! Makes me nervous... it's gotta be a trap! But how can I possibly resist with bait like that! :fish: Actually, it really helped that I turned her into a...
