Most of the 1N270s that you can find out there are spec'ed at 1V Vf and test between 0.6xx and 0.8xx. I found a source tonight and that posted Vf=.3 and further feedback from people that bought confirmed measured at 0.290V! M-108 = 209g
R-104 = 377g

The words "never before seen history" indicates that maybe there was something more than a stock D+ pedal and maybe it was in fact modified!!

Looking up the datasheet for the IC's they outlined....looks like they HEX SCHMIT TRIGGER and Flip Flop to switch the LED on/off and flip/flop the relays on and off, so not so different than what I did, but using readily available NPN and PNP transistors at the time instead of ICs!!
