Re: Do you think more Randy Rhoads footage exists?

This Fresno Media Restoration posted a bunch of shows from the era on their You Tube channel including a first tour Van Halen show, a Ted Nugent 1978 show, the 1980 Def Leppard Show and many others. The Wikedia page for the BOO tour shows one date for Fresno on Jone 30, 1981 at Selland Arena (where ...

Re: Help me get this straight once and for all, please...

I thought the reference to "The Original Sin" was that the white one was the first Jackson. I noticed a Wikipedia entry has reference to it being called "Original Sin", but I believe someone mistook the wording of the ad: !BZp7ihw!mk~$(KGrHgoOKi4EjlLmZ,1SBKn)EoRoSg~~_12.jpg I rec...

Re: Was thinking...

I was listening to the live CD today, and I was thinking what if Bob and Lee had toured the US on the BOO and Diary tours? I hate to say this (and no disrespect intended) but I kinda get why they made the change. The songs on Tribute with Bob and Lee sound kind of down and without energy, and it's t...

Re: Footage from the box set

others just simply don't have the money to spend on something like this.
This is true, unfortunately. It would be very good indeed if they were to release the DVD on it's own.

Footage from the box set

I don't normally post, I'm more of a lurker. My wife purchased the box set for my birthday, and I've viewed the footage many times. I've been intrigued by the comments posted here, both by those who bought it and by those who won't for whatever reason. I've been a Randy fan since about April of 1982...

Re: Randy to quit playing rock music

In the November 1982 Guitar Player magazine, Kelle talks about Randy seeing things on the road that conflicted with his upbringing. If I remember correctly he said something like "people like my brother shouldn't get involved with Rock and Roll, they are much higher people". I think Randy ...

I visited Musonia in July of 1985 and Delores had a copy of the pic with the two girls. She told me that someone had mailed it to her and that it was taken after the Knoxville show.

[quote="stress2stress2"]In times like these, to help give myself some real perspective on RR footage that I (a serious fan) deserve, I keep in mind that there are only two known photos (possibly a 3rd) of blues great, Robert Johnson.....2 pictures only![quote] That's an excellent point. An...

Randy's other guitars?

Sorry if this has been discussed before. The Guitar Player magazine from November 1982 has a quote from Kelle Rhoads that mentioned that Randy had gotten into looking for guitars. He mentions a couple of Les Pauls, one being a black '57 that was virtually untouched. I'm sure this is the guitar that ...

Price-wise, this isn't bad even though it's expensive. The EVH Frankenstein and Clapton's Blackie were around $25,000 when they came out. SRV's Lenny replica is still $17,000 at Guitar Center. $12,600 is pretty good for a true relic limited at 60 pieces. I won't likely be buying one anytime soon, do...

Hello all. I am new and I did just register today - sorry for no pic or signature. I'm a 47 year old guitar playing Credit Union VP. I first heard of RR in early April of 1982 shortly after Randy was killed. I have long admired not only his extraordinary guitar playing, but also what I percieve to b...
