Re: Favorite Bands Aging...
Hey Tom, No offense taken to anything, you are exactly right about WS, it has, is, and always will be David's thing, it always impresses me that as many members as he's been through that WS still manages to sound like they do, I do love most of their music but the big thing with me and WS is that Do...

Re: COOKIE MONSTER VOCALS and RAPID FIRE DRUM-WHAT MELODY?
Sometimes I wonder if the extreme metal community is the only heavy metal genre still coming up with fresh, new and inspired music?
I think that somewhat depends on your perspective and personal taste, The extreme metal stuff intrigues me in alot of ways but I can't say that the majority of...

Re: Favorite Bands Aging...
I love hearing Coverdale on the bluesy stuff to Matt, "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" is one of my fav WS songs, this new record is real bluesy, it reminds me more of pre-Sykes WS than anything. Of course Doug is a big fan of old-era WS so thats not to surprising. I would like to ...

Re: Favorite Bands Aging...
I can see that Matt, there should be some progression to what you do even if you stay within the limits of a certain style. I have the utmost respect for Robert Plant, there is no telling how much money he has been offered to do a Zeppelin reunion, but to me their legacy is so much more intact becau...

Re: Favorite Bands Aging...
Time waits for no one, having said that the new Whitesnake record is freaking awesome!! I think a band can still be relevant at that stage of their career, they just have to be smarter about what they do and how they present theirselves. I'll use the new WS record as an example, obviously Coverdale'...

Re: More Teasers!!!!!!! Blasco on Randy!!!!
That is exactly the thought I had while watching this clip... Ozzy was one step from being nobody. He chose Randy because on the last Sabbath tour Van Halen kicked their ass every night. Ozzy (and probably Sharon) saw the writing on the wall and knew they needed a guy who was of Ed's caliber and cou...

Re: The Movie/Favorite Movies Thread
Haven't watched anything new recently but there are 3 movies on the horizon that I can't wait for, "Pirates 4", "Transformers 3" and although it is a ways out, I am absolutely thrilled that "THE HOBBIT" is actually filiming, that's the one I really can't wait for!!

Re: New Whitesnake cd "Forevermore"
Doug is an amazing guitar player but moreso than that he is just a really cool guy. It is rare to see someone in his position take the amount of time with his fans that he does, and he's just always so humble about everything. I am taking my son to see these guys on May 20, in Biloxi and just can't ...

Although I much prefer the John Sykes or Doug Aldrich/Reb Beach era of WS (the new cd is just fabulous by the way), I will definately be checking this out.

New Whitesnake cd "Forevermore"
I listened to this last night and I gotta tell everybody, this album just smokes!!! Really great songs, fabulous guitar playing and great production. How good is it? Well, bear in mind this is just my opinion and I am a major Doug Aldrich fan, but, I am going to see these guys in concert May 20th an...
Does anyone know if Rudy was a writer? If so, was he collaborating with Randy during the last tour at all?[/quote I have never seen anything that said that, come to think of it I've never seen Rudy listed as a writer in any group he's been in (but he may have been). I ...
