i thought it ran the d plus as a way to tighten up the sound with the gain super low and the volume of the pedal cranked?

If you used a decent amount of gain on the pedal with the overdriven amp, it would be really noisy and hard to control.

Maybe the reason Randy didn't play slide live on No Bone Movies is because maybe the slide guitar solo is in open tuning. Would make no sense to bring one guitar tuned to open tuning for one song for that set.

Also any advice on visiting the music school? Do I need to schedule an appointment, if not, what's the best time to show up? We got everything done with my son's vacation a day early and I've never been to either
