I think Jimi Hendrix's innovation lies with the fact that he intro duced the genre to heavily distorted guitar that oozed with infinite sustain an feedback. His flamboyance and his confidence in his ability I'm sure helped too. But when you listen to a guitar that is overdriven to the point of meltd...

First movies I remember with him in them were Red Dawn and Steel Dawn. What really threw a wrench in the worx for me about him having cancer was he kept himself in such great shape and was a health nut most of his life.. RIP Patrick

Wow, I am just remembering a fraction of all that shit that was going on during that time! It was a fiasco to put it nicely. Glad it was sorted out, it always takes a bigger person to settle shit diplomatically.. I'll check out the new site, thanks for the link,.

Thanks for the hospitality Matt! I tried to stay as close to how I remembered the original cut from the album version. The end fades out longer though so I improvised the rest at the start of the the fade.. lol The band I'm playing in is going through personnel changes, we got a new drummer, the old...

I had wanted to mention this before but your post made it possible Mike, it really set the stage to explain it in context, I think that these feeling could only feel the way they did because of the horror of the location the time of day and the emotion and genius of the music, every line and note f...

Mr. Crowley, tracked and mixed with the master tracks!

Well it was my birthday yesterday and I finally felt like finishing up Mr. Crowley that I started tracking the guitars for a few months ago, mixing with the master tracks that were posted here. It was pretty wild, really having Ozzy on the VOX tracks. I double tracked rythyms and solos and quadruple...

I could hear that too, I thought it was a doubling effect or harmonizer, but tape sounds more feasible.

Better than the last time I saw him. Still nowhere near his eighties level. Somebody should hook him up with an old 50W NMV Marshall head again, his sound is too 'preampy' now. I wonder if he ever listens to his old live recordings? Nice to hear he is working with Gary again, to me that's the MSG s...
