Here are tips, and I am not accusing you of anything, but heres just some good ideas to keep your strings lasting a long time and staying bright. Just to clarify, I like D'addario's because they stay bright a long time (2-3 months as opposed to a month with other strings). Also, they have great har...

You'll save yourself alot of headaches and time (not to mention money) by getting an amp first. Preferably a tube (valve) amp. It's so much easier adding pedals to an already good "core" sound than it is to try to fix a mediocre sound with outboard gear.

Just my opinion.

You should be able to do 'crazy bends' on any quality string that's been properly installed and stretched.

Use a magnifying glass and check the nut and bridge saddles for burrs. Burrs will case the string to bind up and break.

I saw Jeff Beck at the LA Forum during the A.R.M.S. tour in '83 (google it). He's a monster whether playing Blues, Rock, or Jazz fusion. Definitely one of the greats. Also, you can't beat 'Wired' and 'Blow by Blow' for great 70's fusion... IMO, they're 2 classics every serious guitar player should h...

My wife and I traditionally do Thanksgiving dinner at her folk's house. It's always a GREAT feast! Since my wifes family is so small (Mom, Dad, my wife and her sister) the food and wine is always top tier! No greenbean casserole or Mac and Cheese there! Always gourmet stuff! I'll post the menu on Fr...

I had a puppy...a Boxer, Pit Bull mix , waaay back in the day....maybe 1981 or so, appropriately named Ozzy. That dog tore up everything! Garden hoses, patio furniture, shrubs and plants, shoes, you name it..., he ate it. the dog was un-trainable. What a pain in the ass! My parents hated that dog. A...

sorry guys but i have some more questions  ive been looking at the epi Valve amps and noticed that the cab designed for the 5 watt head is rated at 70 watts. Obviously this doesnt mean you get 70 watts of power but i was always under the impression that you would need 50 watts to drive a 50wa...

The Epiphone Valve Juniors sound pretty good right out of the box. They're even better once the speaker gets broken-in. Definitely a good choice for a 1st Valve amp that won't break your bank account. Also the bigger one can even do a small club gig! :) what size amp would you recomend for small gi...

Do yourself a favor and just switch to an all tube amp. Once you go tube you will kick yourself for wasting so much time, money and energy on inferior sounding solid state, modeling and hybrid amps. even your pedals will thank you. :) Just my opinion. believe me id like to, the solid state marshal ...
